The lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River just 40km from Katima Mulilo in the Caprivi Strip, Namibia. Potential for this area is fantastic with superb birding and fishing and its close proximity to Chobe National Park, Victoria Falls, Mamile & Manudunu Game Parks. The lodge is situated in the flood plains with all its wonderful diverse vegetation and bird life. Having wetlands, grasslands and forest the area is home to more than 430 Bird Species. Game is limited in this area, but big herds of Elephant drift through from Chobe. Walks and 4x4 trails are unlimited.

BUSINESS

The lodge receives a variety of guests from all over, including Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, UK, America, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia etc.

The lodge is open all year round with the main season being from May to December. The present owners have been running the lodge for 12 years. It is a well known destination and has very many regular guests. The Government is looking at creating this area into a conservancy.

A lot of business comes from campers although no statistics are kept. A large percentage of the business comes from add ons. ie. Boat Hire, Bar, Restaurant etc.

There is no airstrip at the lodge, but am sure that it would not be a problem to create one as it is completely flat in this area. Nearest airstrip is 20km other side of Katima Mulilo.

January to May + - 20% bed occupancy. June to December + - 60% bed occupancy.
