THE UNITS

Because we understand that you don’t want to be involved with a lot of maintenance on the property we have designed the house, gutters and roof so as to require low maintenance. The windows, doors and gutters will be made from Powder Coated Aluminium and durable cement roof tiles will be used for the roof covering.

The design of these single storey units is a blend of local building styles and Traditional Cape Architecture that suits the character of Stilbaai.

The exterior of the homes will have rock detail focal points offset by the off-white walls and a charcoal roof. Each house will have its own stoep for those lazy days of looking out towards the sea or the natural surroundings.

We have paid careful attention to the flow of the units to make sure that the space is used to its fullest potential. The large open plan lounge cum kitchen is the hub of the house and was designed with the idea that it would be the central get-together point in the home - a place where everybody can spend time together.

The garages are spacious enough for an average size boat or trailer to be parked under cover and have the added advantage that they can double up as more sleeping space, since they come standard with a ceiling and a tiled floor.

COSTS

Melkhout Village makes owning brand new seaside property affordable. All the costs, with the exception of the bank valuation fees, are included in the sales price. That means that transfer duty, bond registration costs and transfer costs are paid by Blue Skye.

The best of all is that you only start to pay for your unit once it has been completed. You will indeed take transfer of your plot after purchase, but any interim interest will be paid by Blue Skye on your behalf. Therefore you will only start paying your bond instalments after completion of your unit.

The units are characterised by spacious bedrooms with built-in cupboards in every room, perfect for a holiday home and the kitchen has enough space to accommodate a washing machine and or a dishwasher and includes a slimline oven, hob and extractor fan.
