Tooth Rock Estate, located right at the water’s edge, is arguably the most prized portion of Jacobsbaai. It took over four years to obtain approval for the development of this area and only after provision had been made for large nature parks in order to preserve the rich plant and animal life on the site was such approval obtained – in fact almost half of the estate is comprised of nature parks.

An array of large boulders creates the magnificent coastline along which Tooth Rock Estate is situated, whilst rich bird life and natural surrounds makes for unrivaled seafront living – this estate truly is without comparison in all of the West Coast.

The estate offers only 50 erven, most of which are North facing and of which 15 are seafront. Strict control is exercised over all construction in the estate, which is set to become the benchmark of West Coast architecture.

The first phase of the services was successfully finished in December 2009.

JACOBSBAAI

South Africa’s West Coast is associated with unblemished coastlines, cool white-washed architecture and the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. Jacobsbaai is the embodiment of all these elements, which makes the West Coast so strongly reminiscent of the Greek Isles.

Founded in 1993, a philosophy of slow, almost organic growth had been followed, which today results in the town being a unique showcase of West Coast vernacular architecture. The town of Jacobsbaai is set along five pristine bays, which affords residents the opportunity of enjoying everything the ocean has to offer including fishing and diving amidst rich sea life.

The sensitivity of the natural habitat resulted in the town being developed with large natural parks in between the residential areas and a general low-density philosophy, enhancing its rustic look and feel.

Located halfway between Saldanha and Vredenburg (about 10 km from each town), considered to be the commercial hub of the West Coast, Jacobsbaai is close to amenities, such as a private hospital, various golf courses and a shopping mall, yet its rustic character remains untainted due to the town being tucked away behind a ridge, forever separating it from the commercial activity.
